After almost two decades working in the pharmaceutical industry, Inge Maes joined Sandoz as its Global Head of People & Organization in 2019, leading the people and organization agenda at the business by focusing on organizational design, team effectiveness, talent and capabilities, and culture change. She is also a member of the company’s Executive Committee.
Before joining Sandoz, Inge rose through the ranks at Novartis by serving across a number of research and development roles before transitioning into the field of human resources. During her 17 years at Novartis, she assumed national, regional and global leadership roles, the last of which saw her appointed as the company’s People & Organization Head for Global & Corporate functions.
Throughout her career, Inge has been involved in designing and implementing transition plans for large-scale projects with regard to mergers and acquisitions, divestments and transformations, as well as fostering a culture of integrity, inclusion and collaboration. She has also been involved in strategic planning on broad corporate issues.

Inge began her career as a vet, having earned a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Ghent. She is now the proud mother of three kids and enjoys spending her free time among her family which includes a dog and two cats. She also enjoys yoga, mountain biking and reading, as well as preparing and enjoying good food in the company of loved ones.
